We welcome collaboration with clinical partners, community organizations, educational institutions, and mentorship-focused groups. SMSC aims to define roles clearly, adapt to partner capacity, and keep continuity, trust, and safety at the center.

Health Care for the Homeless
SMSC is partnering with Health Care for the Homeless, a New Orleans Health Department program, to help ground student involvement in a care model built specifically around people experiencing homelessness. This partnership reflects the coalition’s commitment to learning from programs already rooted in outreach, continuity, dignity, and community-based care.

The partnerships listed above reflect the coalition’s collaborations as of the date of the last update. Please note that this information may not represent the coalition’s current partnerships if viewed after the date listed above, as some collaborations may have concluded, changed, or otherwise evolved since this page was last updated.
Under our bylaws, a partnership includes any of the following:
- Official partnership: A formalized partnership with the coalition.
- Trial partnership: A temporary collaboration (e.g., a 3-day or 1-week trial) that may or may not become an official partnership.
- In-negotiation partnership: An organization currently or previously in partnership discussions that may or may not progress to a trial or official partnership.
- Affiliated partnership: An organization connected to the coalition through an individual affiliation (e.g., a volunteer, physician, or other member affiliated with both organizations).
Because these partnership categories are intentionally broad, some listings may not reflect a formal organizational agreement. For example, a partnership discussion may have ended without further communication, a proposed collaboration may not have advanced beyond an initial point of contact, or an affiliated individual may have expressed interest in connecting our organizations without a formal partnership being established. As a result, some organizations, schools, or institutions may be unaware that they are listed under one of these partnership categories. Accordingly, this page should be interpreted as a record of the coalition’s outreach and collaborative efforts as of the published date rather than a definitive list of active, mutually recognized partnerships.
If your organization is listed and you were a trial partner whose collaboration did not continue, an in-negotiation partner whose discussions did not progress, or an affiliated partner who would like your organization, school, or institution removed from this page, please call us or leave a voicemail, and we will promptly update our records.
